This maybe shameless advertising, but trust me

Yo! Just a wake up call to all my brothers (no sisters as yet) who are meant to be CONTRIBUTORS to this blog! Ma’shallah there seems to be a lot of brothers listed as contributors, very few posts though. I once bought a rabbit for my little sis, she loved it soooooo much - for about three days.  The next 4 years I pretty much fed, cleaned and clothed (as in hugged) the cute little thing. Maybe it will be the same here. No disrespect to my brothers Babs and Jacare, who have actually done more than me for this blog. I sense that Jacare will go on to start his own super-intellectual political analysis blog. In the meanwhile Babs will probably go onto buy out google (who owns blogger), he knows what I mean ;-)Alright I thought I share some advice. It’s the type you rarely find in the classical texts of Islam, I’m probably the first Muslim to give this advice, so here goes: YOU HAVE TO BUY THE PHILISHAVE TT2020 BODYGROOM BODY SHAVE SHAVER. I can imagine some puzzled faces already, maybe one sincere but somewhat naive brother is rushing to his Bukhari and Muslim collection, frantically flipping through the pages wondering how he missed such commercially specific advice. So what is the deal here?

The “deal” bruvs, is to fulful the Sunnah. It is Sunnah to shave or trim your body hair every week, if not, after two weeks it becomes disliked and leave it beyond 40 days you’re a seriously gross dude and committing a sin [Shurunbulali, Imdad al-Fattah; Nahlawi, al-Durar al-Mubaha].

I’m just telling you an easier way to do it. I can guarantee you that there are brothers out there who have discovered that they ain’t no Edward Scissor hands when it comes to dealing with hair in the private regions. So save yourselves the trouble, time, nicks, cuts and possible amputations and go buy the Bodygroom shaver.  It works like magic (some sort of halal variety that is).

That is WAY too much detail! These images in my mind can’t be halal!

Hey, here’s a question, can you be sinful for your thoughts? I’m not talking about in Salah, just generally?

I am no scholar, so it is better for you to seek an answer from someone knowledgable in your local area. Otherwise http://www.sunnipath.com is a good start.

In general, man is only held accountable for his actions not his thoughts. But there is no good in dwelling upon sinful thoughts. In such moments the Dhikr of Allah ta’ala is your strongest safeguard and solace.

Ibn `Abbas said, “Satan crouches over the son of Adam’s heart, and then if he is inattentive and heedless, he whispers, but if he remembers Allah, he withdraws.” [Narrated by Ibn Kathir]

    And Allah alone knows best.
