And What Their Hearts Conceal…

(Note: This was written a few days ago, even though old news, it’s still valuable news)

Listening to the speeches of politicians can be a daunting task. Beyond the fancy prose and silly idioms, you need to spend most of your time reading-between-the-lines. But there are times when you know that they mean what they’ve just said. It hits you like a rush of cold air, as a touch of bitterness that laces your mouth and that nervous tingle that sharpens in your spine.

Read this Heritage Foundation Speech given by the British Home Secretary, Charles Clarke on the 5th October.

Most of it is Blairesque type droning, initially talking about how wonderful “˜our’ values are and how wonderful a democracy the world is better becoming. But when it comes to the threats we face, Clarke spells out it for us

And make no mistake, the threat we face is ideological. It is not driven by poverty, or by social exclusion, or by racial hatred.

coming to the point

However there can be no negotiation about the re-creation of the Caliphate; there can be no negotiation about the imposition of Sharia law; there can be no negotiation about the suppression of equality between the sexes; there can be no negotiation about the ending of free speech. These values are fundamental to our civilisation and are simply not up for negotiation.

with a nice touch at the end

We wish to encourage faiths to pursue their faith openly and directly.

but

We intend to attack the foci of extremist organisation whether they be in training camps, in prisons, in bookshops or in places of worship.

I would advise everyone to go read the full speech, because in my view:

  • It is clearly being spelts out as a W-A-R -O-N- I-S-L-A-M.
  • The aspirations of millions of Muslims world-wide cannot be up for any discussion.
  • Any legitimate discussion about the Caliphate will now always be associated with Al-Qaeda, suppression of womens rights and everything stone-age.

The recent anti-terror legislations are the physical outcomes of such speeches. Such is the slippery slope of totalitarianism that the British government is sliding down. But with all the worry about the emergance of global Islamic state, should we now consider which side the New World Order is going to begin with?

Oh my Gosh I just read the Heritage Foundation speech!

I don’t know what to think! Is he saying when it comes to certain Islamic ideas, he’s not going to even negotiate? But then he says it’s because he’s defending “free speech”! Isn’t that a bit of a paradox?

But then at the end Mr Clarke says he wants to build Islam - HUH?

    He’s confusing me :s

    I think he’s a silly billy!

    Benjamin Franklin once said

“Those who desire to give up freedom in order to gain security, will not have, nor do they deserve, either one.”

Not that I epitomise freedom the way they do (I believe in accountability to Allah). But this quote should start ringing bells in Clark’s head.
