Dark clouds are to loom ever closer for the Muslims in the UK, as Charles Clarke announced today that br. Baber Ahmed is going to be extradited to the United States.

What a beautiful example of justice the British government has used to exemplify its true nature. How? Well let’s see, first, you lock someone up for more than year in a maximum security prison, obviously only based on the most suspect and flimsiest evidence you can find. Then after you realise that your own courts won’t accept such uselessly weak evidence, you send them off to a country that on the basis of no evidence would be more than happy to put you in a 9ft cage. But that’s not a problem, because even though that country has a wonderful track record of abuse, torture and “extraordinary renditions” it also has a magical way of making everyone believe that it’s way of life is the beacon and saviour for the world.

The recent Muslim Taskforce report highlighted that Muslims are feeling resentful due to many of the unjust policies that Western governments practice. But the extradition of Baber Ahmed is the government’s blatant way of sticking two fingers up at what the Muslim community has got to say.
