Assalamu ‘alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.
This isn’t really news, it’s a bit more like stating the obvious!
No doubt you will already have noticed that this blog has been on intensive care life support for a while. I’m not even entirely convinced that we could call it intensive care, perhaps stale bread and water is a bit more accurate. Finally, its time has come, and we’re saying goodbye.
For the various contributors this has always been a bit of an experiment in conveying the lives of Muslims. We still have the same objective, and we pray that Allah accepts our efforts, but we’ve become necessarily involved elsewhere.
Please make du’a for us that Allah continues to bless us with opportunities for victory in seeking the pleasure of our Lord.
Perhaps we’ll make a comeback one day…

I love the new graphics, great images. There were some very good posts on this blog, my personal favourite being “Praying in the Rain”. Only it is admittedly quite a challenge to maintain and I hope you resurface with better material some day, perhaps in the near future…

MAY PEACE BE UPON YOUR SOULS, HEARTS, MINDS, AND BODIES…AMEN.
“TO ALLAH WE BELONG AND TO HIM IS OUR RETURN”
That’s the biggest news that one could ever realise. Its very humbling and not easy to practise… Sometimes we reach a limit where we tend to forget… To keep that fact awake all the time aint that easy…
Qur’an describes the creation of the individual and his evolution in detail as follows:
‘Verily, We created man from a product of wet earth; then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe of lodging; then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation’
(Surah 23, verses 12,13,14.) .
SEE HOW INSIGNIFICANT WE ARE??
So, man does not have any pride since his beginning. Not only is he made of insignificant matter, but is also weak and lacks all feeling from the time he comes into life. Only the will of God preserves his existence that is surrounded by dangers. He is also the aim of ills and pains, and is subject to hunger and thirst whether he likes it or not. In spite of the fact that he likes knowledge, ignorance is his only share. He likes to remember but always forgets. He might make all kinds of plans for his safety but he never reaches the point of certainty over his life or his place.
ALL PRAISE IS DUE TO ALLAH THE LORD OF THE WORLDS…
MAY ALLAH BLESS YOU ALL AND ASSIST YOU IN WHATEVER YOU INTEND FOR HIS CAUSE… AMEN.
PLEASE MAKE DU’A FOR ME RIGHT NOW… THANX.
WITH RESPECT,

hey this is really sad. I’m not islamic myself but I find it really interesting, and somehow reassuring, to know that such a rich dialogue is taking place in a public space.
good luck to everyone involved, and I hope to read you elsewhere, sometime.
