The Olympic “Games”

--------------

In one month, Beijing will host the 2008 Olympic Games and the transformation of the Olympic site has been impressive.  I’ll be honest; I’ve hardly even noticed any run-up to the event until yesterday, when I saw the BBC special report into air quality in Beijing, based on standards from the World Health Organisation.

The BBC website is even encouraging its readers to send in photographs of smog at the Olympic site.

People often make the mistake of falling for the word “Games” in the title of the Olympics, and viewing it as simply a sporting event.  However, those in power have always seen these “games” as a fantastic political plaything, as evidenced by the attitude of Hitler in the 1936 Olympics, and the more recent protests by Tibetan nationalists.

Participation in the Olympics is a stealth means for interference by the IMF, WHO, World Bank, the United Nations, and any number of Non-Governmental Organisations.  The list of organisations recognised by the IOC is a telling sign of the hidden intent of the games.

Why would China want to host such an event?  Could it be that they need to appear to be part of the world community?  To show that they aren’t communist radicals?  To show that they don’t oppress people?  They aren’t violent?  Honestly, does China really love Bandy that much?!

Can anyone think of another group of people who might feel under pressure to do the same?

Other than the awful attempt by a BBC journalist to conduct a scientific study, we ought to realise that participation in these types of structures will mean that as we become part of their system, we play by their rules, and eventually compromise our own values.

A long, long time ago, Muslims were considered scholars, scientists, artists and the foundation of civilisation.  No longer do ideas flow out of the Muslim lands and into the World.  Rather, Muslims have in recent decades been looking West for their values and inspiration. We aren’t leaders of anything, and yet we make up almost a quarter of the world population. Until we can learn to unify under our own banner, we face another decade of insignificance and oppression.

Agreed! There’s another aspect to these mega events: In order to divert the attention of unsuspecting mankind from their miserable lives and in effect deceive them into believing that this world IS the Heaven.

Who has this characteristic of deceiving 99% of the mankind? Even his name means ‘Deception’?

  2. Shaykh Rattle 'n' Roll Says:

As noted by the Roman poet Juvenal:

… Already long ago, from when we sold our vote to no man,
the People have abdicated our duties; for the People who once upon a time
handed out military command, high civil office, legions - everything, now
restrains itself and anxiously hopes for just two things:
    bread and circuses
